Spell Review Follow Up!

I just wanted to let you know I got an amazing email from Elle from Spell Cosmetics this morning that I thought I would pass on to you!!

Good morning, thank you for your email!
First of all, we use a 3-Tier Formula to balance every single Spell product.
This formula accounts for:
1) Opacity….how sheer or opaque a colour will be
2) Density…which determines how intense the colour payoff will be
3) Light Dispursement, which determines the reflective qualities of a shade.
We use a variety of ingredient compositions to determine these factors, based on the molecular structure of each given ingredient.  Not all micas are created equally, there are an endless amount of particle sizes.
As for the Velvet Matte Collection, these colours are specifically designed to have:
1) high opacity
2) strong colour payoff
3) Low Light dispursment.
The primary ingredients may include the following ingredients: Titanium Dioxide, Zinc Oxide, Magnesium Stearate, Kaolin Clay, Silk, Iron Oxides, Micas & Tin Dioxides.  Since each colour is indiviually created, not every ingredient is necessary for the final result.
As for the Jewel Thief Collection, these colours are specifically designed to have:
1) moderate opacity
2) strong colour payoff
3) High light dispursment
The primary ingredients may include: Magnesium Stearate, Silk, Boron nitride, Micas, Iron Oxides & Tin Dioxides.
These have been specifically treated with a proprietary patent pending formulation to “de-dust” them… which makes each colour slightly lubricated for ease of application and less “fall off” from the brush.
Our shadows are packaged in 5 gram jars; however, we fill them based on volume not weight, so that each jar is full.  Because each colour has it’s own molecular weight, if we filled by this calculation, each jar would contain a different amount of product.
I hope that this answers some of your questions, and we thank you so very much for being our client and spreading the word to your followers!
Warmest regards,
