So many companies out there sell samples (and a good portion don’t) that it’s often confusing as to how much product you get and what each costs.
This list will get stickied to my sidebar —> and updated as often as I get new information. I hope it helps!!
ETA : Keep in mind that weights per sample will vary depending on the particle size of the shadow. So 1/4 a teaspoon of one shade might weight more or less then 1/4 a teaspoon of another!

Comparing BFTE’s 2$ sample size to Sassy’s .75$ sample size:

Geek Chic Cosmetics was the first mineral based cosmetics company that I ran across that offered $1 sample baggies (they even threw in a couple of other samples for free). I was really tired of buying full products that looked good on the screen or even in the store, but not on me. Returning is such a hassle and most of the time you had to pay the shipping so it wasn’t worth it. Now, with the samples, I am encouraged to be more adventurous because it is only a dollar, not $5-$12 or more. The exact amount in the bag is not that important because I am experimenting to see if I like it and want a full size bottle or not. Now I can leave the world of the safe peaches and pinks and go boldly forth to worlds unknown .. to the teals, the shimmering golds and silvers, and YES, even the BOLD REDS! [And did you see the first season of the HBO series The Game of Thrones… only the best ever series since Battle Star Gallatica maybe. A great review at http://damselindigital.com/2011/04/19/game-of-thrones-episode-1-winter-is-coming-review/%5D Sorry, when I went forth to the BOLD REDS I got a little carried away in my own nerdiness (and I just turned 60 and I WILL NOT CHANGE and become a little old lady).
Thanks, Mom… lol.
